New Hospitals by Siloam open in Bangka and Bogor
Siloam International Hospitals recently opened two new hospitals in Bangka and Bogor.
An arm of property developer Lippo Karawaci, Siloam’s first hospital in Bangka, in the Bangka-Belitung Islands, opened on Monday, and launched the other new hospital in Bogor, West Java, on Tuesday.
The nine-storey hospital in Bangka occupies a total area of 20,000 sq m and is capable of accommodating up to 310 in-patients. It features high-tech equipment including an x-ray generator, a 128-slice computed tomography (CT) scan and a 3D ultrasound sonograph (USG).
There are 75 general practitioners, medical specialists and advanced practice nurses ready to provide the best medical service on Bangka Island.
Meanwhile, Siloam Bogor has fewer beds but even more facilities, including a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan and a cardiac catheterization lab. It has 70 medical specialists and general practitioners, as well as 170 staff.
“With Siloam Bogor now here, locals no longer have to go to Jakarta to find a hospital with comprehensive facilities,” Siloam Hospitals Bogor Executive Director Liediawaty Shahaan said.
The two hospitals are currently in the process of collaborating with their chosen insurance companies.
