Young adults at risk of Osteoporosis
A study by Madras Medical College has revealed that even young adults are at risk of developing osteoporosis.
The hospital’s rheumatology department screened 1,172 people in the 20-40 age group, with around 80 per cent being women, for bone density.
It found that close to 75 per cent either had osteoporosis or osteopenia, an early stage of the disease.
