Feel youthful for a longer life
Researchers have found that there was a strong relationship between self-perceived age and cardiovascular disease.
“Feeling younger or older itself seems to have an effect on our health,” Dr. Ronald D. Siegel, assistant professor of psychology at Harvard Medical School, said.
“When people see themselves as old, they’re more likely to abandon physical challenges which feel difficult, such as, ‘I don’t think I should ski any more, I’m an old man,” he added.
Another reason is because the more you feel youthful, the more you will carefully choose your food.
Here are several tips to make you feel youthful:
- Be adventurous and learn new ideas and skills.
- Practice mindfulness which will make you appreciate the moment and not wallow in past regrets or worry about the future too much.
- Create your own meaning in your life. This may be as simple as developing a new hobby as gardening, to helping people to deal with their lives
