Caffeine protects men from hair loss

Caffiene can protect me from hair loss, Dr Adolf Klenk said recently.

Dr Adolf Klenk was in Kuala Lumpur recently to present his pioneering research on the effects of caffeine on hair loss and has travelled around the world to share his knowledge on this discovery.

Dr Klenk, who is the head of the Dr Kurt Wolff Research and Development Institute, said the research provided evidence that once caffeine penetrated deep into the hair roots, it could protect the hair from negative testosterone impact and premature hair loss.

“We invented a shampoo from concentrated caffeine which delivers energy needed for hair growth phase and it also worked to counteract the effect of testosterone that causes baldness,” he said.

However, he said the treatment was not really effective for reversal but more on prevention.

Dr Klenk said drinking coffee could not provide the same effect because the dose of caffeine needed to make its way up to the hair root was about 40 to 50 cups of coffee consumption and it would be quickly diluted and excreted by the body.
