Iran builds device for speedy wound recovery
Iranian scientists have developed a device for healing wounds faster.
“The device creates a pressure vacuum in the wound meticulously. It then transfers blood to the wounded area to send infection to a special place for the injury’s treatment,” said Majid Entezari, the project director.
The tool adjusts the vacuum pressure and treats the injury by injecting drugs and washing the wound without opening the bandage, ISNA reported.
Entezari added that the tool timer helps the doctor to regulate the time of sucking, injecting the drug and washing the wound. It prevents bacterial penetration into the wound and leads to less side-effects, facilitating the treatment of injuries.
The device has been tested on ten people in a hospital in Yazd province, central Iran, which showed that patients’ wounds heal faster than the time involved in traditional treatment.
