July 13, 2014

Herbs are known to have several benefits. One of them, lavender, is said to aid sleep. Put a few drops of this on your pillow each night. Lavender also helps reduce anxiety, deal with stress and mood swings and calms the nerves. But that’s not all – here’s how other herbs help you…

– Did you know cilantro helps improve your bone strength?

– Basil has antibacterial properties. It is also anti-inflammatory and cures mouth ulcers. Basil leaves are boiled with water, which is then sipped to cure a sore throat.

– Herbs such as sage and camomile are also calming and sleep-inducing and are best enjoyed in a cup of hot tea just before bedtime.

– Parsley is a power house of anti-oxidants, minerals and vitamins, which regulates the blood’s cholesterol levels and prevents constipation.
