Pharma EXPO to hold comprehensive sessions on industry operations, trends

PMMI, The Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies representing over 650 packaging and processing supply chain, and Florida-headquartered International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE) have announced the full conference programme for Pharma EXPO, co-located with PACK EXPO International to be held 2-5 November, 2014 at McCormick Place, Chicago, US. Pharma EXPO will provide the pharmaceutical industry with convenient access to world-class education in addition to innovations for the entire pharmaceutical lifecycle.

Curated by ISPE, the presentations are divided into three tracks: Manufacturing Operations on 3 November; Compliance Trends, and Pharmaceutical Packaging, on 4-5 November, respectively.

According to Nancy Berg, President and CEO of ISPE, these three tracks cover essential areas for industry professionals to consider when looking to expand their operations. Each educational track represents a critical path for evolution in the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, medical device and biotechnology sectors, she adds.

Topics such as the Internet of Things, single-use systems and automation, serialisation, quality assurance, nutraceutical, 3D printing, inspection methods, single-use facility design, and 2D barcode technology will be discussed during the sessions. Keynote sessions, one each day of the conference, are free and open to all registered attendees.
