A series of webinars on smart medical product launch will be held in Taipei, aimed at offering the global market a better understanding of Taiwan’s smart medical industry as the fight against the Covid-19 outbreak still continues.
Driven by both the pandemic crisis and the accelerating 5G trend, Taiwan’s medical industry has shown its prowess in smart medical technologies, surgeries and medical devices by exceling in telehealth technologies, the use of ECMO, laparoscopic surgery, endoscopic surgery, and robotic surgery, said Walter Yeh, President/CEO of Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), during the first online product launch campaign recently.
The product launch focused on surgical equipment as follows:
– Surgical tables and surgical lights from Mediland: a surgical lighting solution pioneering the latest LED-based technology from Mediland. It performs well in heat dispersion and shadow control and portrays colours in their true and natural form. The optional HD camera is ideal for recording surgical processes and medical education.
– MonoStereo endoscopic visualisation system from MedicalTek: devoted to advanced medical imaging of minimally invasive surgery (MIS), MedicalTek’s 3D endoscope imaging technology provides a solution to the lack of depth perception issue in conventional 2D endoscope systems, enabling quick and effective 3D visualisation.
– PPE textiles and surgical textiles from Asiatic Fiber: with expertise in high-functional fibre materials, Asiatic Fiber has supplied protective materials to the world since Covid-19 outbreak. The solutions provided include Disposable Garments, which have been supplied to US and Japan. Others are a first-ever Protective Coverall that is made with high quality surgical fabric, and Reusable Antibacterial Mask that is safe and washable more than 75 times.
– Suction machines use in ORs from Doctor’s Friend: with the professional credibility in suction units and hospital equipment, Doctor’s Friend’s gastric-thoracic drainage pump helps to suck the body liquid out for Covid-19 use.
The first event attracted over 1,700 viewers online from Malaysia, India, Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Germany, etc. More events will be held for medical products, including: beauty products, eye care, assisting devices for elders and dentistry.
