Duopharma Biotech, Owen Mumford partner for medical devices distribution in Malaysia
The Malaysian pharmaceutical group, Duopharma Biotech, through its subsidiary Duopharma Marketing, has entered into an exclusive distributorship agreement with Owen Mumford (Malaysia), a subsidiary of the UK-based medical device company Owen Mumford, for the distribution of medical devices in Malaysia, Singapore, and Brunei. Under this agreement, Duopharma Biotech will distribute a range of diabetes care and eye care products, including the Unifine Pentips and Unifine Pentips Plus insulin pen needles, Unistik 3 and Unilet Excelite lancets, as well as the Autodrop eye drop guide, to both government and private healthcare facilities, as well as other patient care facilities and retail outlets. There is also potential for the expansion of the range of products distributed.
Owen Mumford, headquartered in the UK, is renowned for its pioneering medical design innovations that have revolutionized diabetes care, notably with the introduction of the first injector pen. The company boasts a wide-ranging product portfolio covering diabetes care, blood and patient specimen collection, point-of-care testing, neuropathy screening, ophthalmology care, and sexual healthcare.

Duopharma Biotech, headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, owns and operates three manufacturing plants in Klang, Bangi, and Glenmarie, Selangor.
